
A winter warming delight
Ingredients
- 500 g Milky's Halum or Halloumi cubed
- 0.5 kg Brussels sprouts
- 3 tbsp Olive oil extra virgin
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Black pepper
- 0.5 tbsp Red pepper crashed
- 0.25 kg Medjool dates remove pits and cut
Method
- Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a frying panWhen the oil shimmers, add the brussel sprouts, cut side down and cook for 5-8 minutes or until lightly charred around the edges. Reduce the heat to medium and season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking for another 8-10 minutes or until the brussel sprouts are soft. Stir in the crushed red pepper flakes and dates. Cook for a further 1-2 minutes and remove from heat.
- In a separate frying pan add 1 tablespoon olive oil and heat over medium a heat. When the oil shimmers, add the Halloumi and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until the Halloumi is cooked and has a golden colour. Add the cooked Halloumi to the brussel sprouts and serve.
