Zaatar Roasted Tomato Crostini with Labneh

These delectable little bites of labneh and zaatar roasted tomatoes on top of crostino will surely steal the show at any event.

Ingredients  

  • 230 g Milky’s Labneh
  • 300 g Cherry tomato
  • 1 Baguette
  • 2 tbsp Za'atar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Black Pepper

Method

  1. Cut the tomatoes in half. Place them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and stir until coated.
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and place the tomatoes on it.
  3. Top the tomatoes with a pinch of za’atar and roast in the oven on a medium heat for 1 to 2 hours until they are meltingly soft and slightly shrivelled.
  4. To make the crostini, thinly slice the baguette into 1.5 cm slices and brush both sides with olive oil. Season them with za’atar, salt and pepper.
  5. Arrange the slices on a baking tray and bake in the heated oven until they are a light golden brown.
  6. On each crostini, spread some Labneh with two or three roasted tomatoes and sprinkle za’atar.
